Warrior Queen Taytu: Black History Month Woman to Know

It's crazy to think that Black history can be summed up in 1 month every year. The truth is it can't. Cultures that span millennia, and now, virtually every county on the planet could never be represented in 28 days. My goal is to share a tiny sliver of this history and celebrate it with spotlights of Black women who have done incredible things. Ethiopian Empress, Taytu Betul1851-1919 In 1896, Taytu, the 3rd wife of Emperor Menelik II, fought on the field leading a troop of 5,000 at the Battle of Adwa against the Italian army.
